Phil Hooton founder of "Chess for Schools" originally worked in the I.T industry however sought a more fulfilling career. In 2002 he turned his passion for chess and a love for teaching children into a new full time career. Since then he has taught thousands of children how to play chess, elevating a number to compete in the Victorian state Championships. He still has a great love for the game and a passion for teaching children its wonder.
